NOTORIOUS is a urban hip-hop dance competition that is hosted by McRoberts Secondary School on March 2, 2018. NOTORIOUS started in 2013 and we're looking forward to our 6th year.

"Some call NOTORIOUS an Empire, I call NOTORIOUS a family!"

NOTORIOUS can be described as a full body sensory experience. This event flawlessly showcases the passionate and immensely talented young people in the lower mainland in a positive and encouraging environment. This is our sixth year in and we have been very successful.

2017 we had registered 30 teams from all over the lower mainland competing in 4 categories - senior, junior, duo/trio & break. We had 8 prominent dance community professionals as judges. And new in 2017 was... our celebrity judges choice award - given out by Jonny Staub and Holly Conway from The Beat 94.5fm.

Our vendors were Creatively Crafted by Jada (hand made cards benefiting BC Children's Hospital), KEEP Collective (unique customizable jewelry), Studio 604, Henna by Sejal & Loyal Coalition Apparel (Urban Wear). Our donation booth was run by McRoberts Animal Rescue which helps RAPS.

We were also pleased to announce our showcases: Supremacy, Project Movement, UBC Project U&G and The Apprentice.

We had 20 staff and 25+ student volunteers to help run this event every year. All details, set up and take down are done by current McRoberts students or McRoberts alumni.

Tickets are pre-sale only through a McRoberts dance team member or through the McRoberts office for $10/ea and children under 5 years old are free. There will be no tickets available for purchase at the door.
