Strikers Weekly - Week of October 8, 2017

A holiday weekend is a wonderful opportunity rest as well as to spend with friends and family.  Hopefully you will all use this time to recharge and reconnect.  September was a busy time but hopefully now each of you are fully into the new routine of school.  Have a wonderful long weekend Strikers.

Beautiful weather, great friends, and a satisfying meal....  Grads of 2018 enjoyed their first informal Grad Event of the Year.  Thanks to Emma H. for the photo.

World Teacher (and Staff) Day

As a thanks for all they do to support the learning of students at our school, a few of our Grads (on a Study Block) went around the school passing on simple words of thanks (along with some treats) to our many dedicated teachers and staff.  Supporting the learning of our youth is a huge undertaking.  A special thanks to all of those who make learning possible here at McRoberts.

Women in Leadership - Panel Luncheon

We were fortunate to have an opportunity to send a group of student led by Ms. Muir to the Chamber of Commerce Sponsored "Women in Leadership" panel discussion and luncheon.  The students were given first hand information from a variety of women in different roles and in different stages of their work life.

Living in a Generation of the Screen

Though just a trailer, the topic should be on all of our minds as parents, students and educators.
