Strikers Weekly - Week of May 27, 2018

Last week of May and first week of June.  The year is quickly coming to an end.  With June comes better weather (though the end of May has been very nice too) and a variety of different distractions.  Please encourage all to take care to keep focused on the remaining days of classes.  The mantra for June should simply be "finish strong!"

McRoberts' Students Shine in the Steveston Historic Walking Tour Vignettes

Saturdays in June and July, join some of the McRoberts Acting Students who are a large part of the Steveson Historic Society's "Steveston Alive" Historic Walking Tours.  Stories of Steveston (and Richmond) in the early 1900's are explored in an entertaining way.

From Steveston Alive:

Step into Steveston's Past as History Comes to Life with the Return of Walking Tour Vignettes

The Steveston Historical Society's "Steveston Alive!" Walking Tours.

These walking tours are set to launch on June 2, 2018 and will run at two different times every Saturday until the end of July.  This is the second year the Steveston Historical Society has worked with your school and we continue to be  "blown away" at the success of the event and your student actors' talents and commitments.

Jointly presented by the Steveston Historical Society and the Steveston Museum, the Steveston Alive! Walking Tour Vignettes production leads audiences through the village and enhances the historic surroundings with short theatrical moments that reimagine life in 1917. Tours leave from Steveston Museum's Town Square Park at 1pm and 3pm every Saturday in June and July 2018. More information can be found online at www.historicsteveston.ca.
