Staff Learning More About Visual Literacy and Supporting the Grad Literacy Assessment
This past Monday, our staff had the opportunity to learn more about Visual Literacy. The more we learn, the more we realize how essential learning these skills are to support both learning in school as well surviving in the world outside of school. As a part of this presentation, we spent time both looking at the Grad Literacy Assessment and even spending time writing the sample exam.

World Hijab Day
An idea from one of our students, has led to the creation of World Hijab Day (in support of WHD's worldwide event).
From https://worldhijabday.com/ . The overall mission of WHD is to create a more peaceful world where global citizens respect each other. Particularly, WHD focuses on fighting bigotry, discrimination, and prejudice against Muslim women. This is most crucial in these times where Hijab is being banned in some countries while in other countries, Muslim women are being targeted and harassed verbally and physically.
Program Planning Has Begun
Making course decisions now for next September is difficult enough (though required for a smooth transition process for the following year). With the number of choices and options, the challenge is even more difficult. We strongly encourage parents and students to take some time over the next little while to discuss course planning for next year. With the tightness of the timetable, making changes after the timetable is built is difficult.
