Strikers Weekly - Week of October 18, 2020

It is election season both in the Province, but also here at McRoberts.  Votes are being tallied for Grade Representatives for this school year.

Interims Discussions

By now, you should have received the First Quarter Interim Reports.  Hopefully this will create a good opportunity for you as a family to have a discussion on how things are going to date.  If you have any questions or concerns, we would encourage you to please contact your son/daughter's teacher at your convenience.

Cold and Flu Season

As we are entering cold and flu season, it is essential for parents to keep their son/daughter's home when not well.  As many of the symptoms overlap with the Covid symptoms, it becomes even more important to be dilligent about the heath and wellness of all of our students and staff.

Grade 8 Library Orientations

Over the course of the next weeks, all of our grade eight students will be introduced to the many in person and online resources available through our Library Learning Commons.

Working with Manipulatives in Mathematics

Math is clearly more than solving equations using pen and paper.  Students in Ms. Miller's class had the opportunity to use Algebra tiles to demonstrate both their thinking and their problem soving in Mathematics 9.
