Striker's Weekly - Week of September 19, 2021

Our first days of Personal Learning Time.  We were excited to see the number of students in the school and the way in which they used their time.  As mentioned, we will continue to find more and more opportunities for students as the weeks progress.

Subscribing to the Website

Our primary means of communication (for most things) will be our school's website.  While more "urgent" and "important" items may be sent directly via emails to families, the vast majority of news, reminders, and other information will be posted to the front page of our website.

If you are like most people and don't regularly check with websites, one way to ensure you will see what is posted on the front of the McRoberts Website is to subscribe.

By clicking the "Subscribe" link on the top of our website, or using this link, you may received any item posted on the front page of our website.  This includes our weekly newsletter.

Do We have your Correct Email?

As mentioned, occassionally we do send information directly to parents via the email we have in the system.  An email was sent on Friday September 17th.  If you did not receive this, please contact the school on Monday and ask to see what email address we have associated with your name.

Speed Dating?

Though not people speed dating, rather, book speed dating.  Students visited the Library Learning Commons (LLC) to get a chance to be introduced to a number of different titles.  After a short preparation time, each student shared a brief synopsys of the book they were to share.  Hopefully many books were added to wish lists as a result of this day.

Applied Skills 8 - The making of an Octopus

A bit of yarn, some buttons, and a bit of creativity... this is all that is needed in the creation of one of the first Applied Skills (Home Economics) assignments of the year.

Deadline Extended to October 4th
