Getting Hands Dirty

Though I am sure it was not a difficult ask, students in Ms. Miller's Art Class rolled up their sleeves to get busy working their clay.  Hopefully they all washed their hands before going to their next class (thanks Ms. Miller for the photo).


La Fete Suprise

Ms. Gromoutis' French 9/10 class were invovled in a "la fete suprise."  The students simulated a graduation ceremony and learned new vocuabulary through interactive, hands-on learning.

Ms. Monnette's students were working on their Election Campains in their Creative Writing Class.



Heads Hands and Feet

The Grad Legacy committee is launching Head, Hands and Feet: an initiative to provide those in need in the Downtown Eastside with Winter necessity packages. We would greatly appreciate your contributions!

November Passion Speaker - Professional Car Designer

This month, Convergence brings a professional car designer to share his career preparation and journey.

Dr. Victor Martinez 

Started his professional career as car designer in Mexico and later in Italy collaborating in projects for FIAT, Alfa Romeo, Audi, Italdesign-Giugiaro among many others. He has worked as an independent designer for 20 years wining a Red Dot Award, and as academic has explored the sustainability and future of design linked to Systems Thinking and Complexity Theory.

NOV 15/21 TD Scholarships for Community Leadership Scholarship Deadline Awards students up to $70,000 for college or university (up to $10,000 for tuition per year, $7,500 a year for living expenses) for 4 years. It’s open to students across Canada who: -Have demonstrated community leadership -Are in final year of high school -Have a minimum overall grade average of 75% in their most recently completed school year Write a 600-word essay (three copies) describing your community leadership experience. NOV 15/21 The Lester B Pearson U of T International Scholarship In-School Deadline for Nomination Consideration

There are 37 scholarships awarded to outstanding International Students who have demonstrated exceptional academics, leadership, creativity and are leaders in their school.

A special emphasis is placed on the impact the student has had on the life of their school and community, and their future potential to contribute positively to the global community.

Awarded annually, these most prestigious and competitive scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years. The scholarship is tenable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry, undergraduate programs.

To apply, students must first follow the steps required to be nominated by your school. (Contact your school scholarship representative for details) fill in a nomination form and submit it by Nov. 15. Students should have applied to their U of T Program by Nov, 7 via OUAC. Once the application for

nomination has been approved, that student then completes the Lester B Pearson application and submits it to U of T by January 17/22.
