Remembrance Day and Indigenous Veterans Day

Every year on November 11, Canadians take a silent moment of reflection to remember and honour the people who have served and who continue to serve Canada and the Canadian people in times of both war and peace.

This Remembrance Day, in our commitment to truth and reconciliation, we also honour the diversity of all of our veterans. This week we commemorated National Indigenous Veterans Day on November 8, to honour the First Nations, Métis and Inuit people of Canada who have had a long and proud tradition of military service to our country.
