Core Comptencies Edcamp, January 2019

On Saturday January 19th, McRoberts was the host site for a Core Competencies Ed Camp (Professional Development opportunity).  Teachers from around the province came together to share thoughts, ideas, and insights into how to best implement Core Competencies in schools.  Among the educators were 10 of our students.  Though they were the youngest and non eductors, in the eyes of some, they were an extremely valuable contributor to the discussions.  Their thoughts and contributions were invaluable for our school in the process of identifying what our some of our students see as the value and importance of the incorporation of Core Competencies into their learning.

After sharing this conversation with both our Educational Facilitators and our Staff as a whole, it helped us better understand the importance of continuing to find new and innovative ways to support the development of Core Competencies for our students.
