Game of Apps Registration Open - Deadline October 18

Game of Apps is an after-school program that empowers students with practical technical and life skills to help them succeed in 21st century careers. Over the past seven years, they'v taught coding, design and entrepreneurship skills to over 650 students from 73 schools all over BC.

Students learn important technology skills in the context of real-world projects, emulating how we build products in the industry. This means that students must also exercise important soft skills such as communication, teamwork & collaboration, time management, public speaking, critical thinking, problem solving, and much more. These are essential skills needed to succeed not just in the Tech industry, but in all future careers.

WHO SHOULD JOIN?

Everyone is welcome, both tech-oriented and non-tech oriented students (including artists, musicians, athletes, business-minded students and more)!

We have a strong focus on including female students and non-tech oriented individuals. This is not just paying lip service to diversity and inclusivity, but to address the fact that the Tech industry truly needs more variety in backgrounds, experiences and viewpoints.

PROGRAM OFFERINGS

This season, they are offering the following year-long programs:
- Startup School, grades 10-12, 22 weeks
